My Craft

Working with your hands is something you need to do in life.Working with your hands is the best olden day routine to actually create something.Funny enough that it cant get anymore creative then it is by hand craft.Too much technology deprives us from processes such as meaning,purpose,pride and pleasure.Processes is important because we feel a certain kind of happiness when we make and create different things which is vital.Sometimes we tend to forget that an actually craft item represents a personality trait.Its less about ambition and more about living. When we are dissolved in a deeply absorbing task we lose self-consciousness.
Working with my hands and presentation skills are one thing I learnt most beside the fact of having a creative mind set.It wasn't always easy but I got to experience a learning curve of developing craft and presentation skills.

My Craft was mainly about the career choice we most intrested in and in that case I decided to do something creative and memorable about the most well sold energy drink redbull ehich was co-founded by Dietrich Mateshitz who was born 20th May 1944.He holds 49% of the shares.Mateshitz net worth is estimated to be 10.7 billion.Redbull is also known as catering to everbody around and create jobs and has a wider range of a target market.As a company red bull is very enagaing and convergent with their customers and have incrediably good leadership management.
Red bull is also highly involved with sponserships,corporate social responsibility programmes and setting the best image of their company for constantly reminding us by their form of advertsing and marketing what redbull can do for us.The advantage about redbull is that its known worldwide which makes it sales more stronger,and sets redbull as the most successful company.

Not only do I look at red bull as a company I can do extremely well in by I look at the company and co founder as something I could have one day and somebody I can be.

Since Red Bull caters and has a target market of all ages they remain fun,funky and creative by  entertain those who they catering for so we are constantly reminded how powerful they are and what kind of rush its capable of giving us.

Improvements of Creativity

Through presenting and working with crafts I got the chance to better my presentation skills and got the change to get another chance to  not only think out the box but to really think strategically but clever and get to the point with my craft work. In one of my projects I had to make a craft relating to the career I wanted to be involved in.So because my interest  massively lays within Red bull I decided to do an advertising poster of Red bull selling their drink at a well known event that happens once a year at OppiKoppi.The main reason why I did this is because Red bull takes their advertising seriously and that is how the sell their brand and that's how they let customers know about who they are and what they about.

Project 3.

This poster is something I worked on advertising the brand red bull at a music event.

Theme:Oppikoppi-Music Festival
Image:Dream catcher representing the hipness
Image of the two bulls: Symbolizing the significance of Red bull-Setting their image.
Circle of feathers-Different meanings of emotions such as happiness,unity,love etc..
Slogan-Dreamless Nights, Endless Energy and Unplanned adventures relating to the fact of the meaning of the dream catcher about positive dreams, Endless Energy which links to Red bull giving you wings and Unplanned Adventures relating to hippies that are always on an adventure.



Project 4.

In this project I improved it by making a billboard poster of advertising Red bull without any slogan but by just using actions and having a strong image. With this image I decided to look at previous existing  billboard ads that red bull has releasd.So with this image I decided to get creative by advertising red bull by using a sport since its involvement resolves extreme sport so I decided to have an image of people running and having an athlete by the name of Jarod Chetty to have the most energy out of us all highlighting the fact that not only does red bull give you wings but provides you with the most energy with any situation you find yourself in.


Through this Module I learnt how to think more out of the box but to still make your point clear and achievable. I learnt that creativity is also something to enjoy, not only did I learn and gain but got to experience how im going to think in a few years time in the real world. It set me to be ready, set me to know how to brainstorm right there and then looking at all objectives of the situation and what would be the best creative, logical idea to use.

Not only did I improve the way of thinking towards my projects but I massively increased my ability of having good presentation skills. Fake It Until You Make It

Patti Smith is a musician who wrote the book "Just Kids".Steal Like An Artist By Austin Kleon speaks about a phase called "Fake it till you make it"  on page 30 of his reader ,which has two ways of reading it.
Either "Pretend to be something youre not until you are-fake it until youre successful,until everybody sees you the way you want them to;or pretend to be making something until you actually make something "
Patti depicted this concept in her book Just kids which is about two kids who moved to New York to become  artists and she depicted it by starting off how these kids made something out of everything they had.They made every useful object around them something creative to work with.She states that "Creative Work is a kind of theatre" you need to make a play out of it that would entertain not only yourself but the viewers around you. She  also states you have everything around you but its what you do with them. Speaking of how creative work is a kind of theatre it describes how the stage would be a normal ordinary table, the props were books and pencils and the script would be the time only because you set your timeframe of where you want to be.

The way Patti Smith incorporates the phrase "fake it till you make it" is that make something of what you have until you can be where you want to be which relates to her book "Just Kids", they just had a dream like any other kid would but its how they worked with what they had to make their dream come true, until people could notice what they have done they had to consistently work with what they had.
Work on something you have which is known as working with your hands-something that most talented and so called "creative " people don't do, but the main aim of it is to have a plan and pretend you working on something huge until you have the courage to display it or haven't even worked on it yet setting the minds of the people of what's yet to come.

In my opinion  I think that fake it till you make it is a concept which is useful and part of a learning curve,because its about you, its about your timeframe in life, its about letting people think you predictable but you not. Its about being what creative is according to you, its about being completely unoriginal but having complete fun with it,Its about starting somewhere and ending up elsewhere. The kids in the novel wont the greatest artists but they learnt how to be by using their imagination of  their own and how they could just set an image of what being an artist was like.
Its about acting  creatively but thinking differently.

Stay On The Bus

"Stay On The Bus" seems like a long journey of no destination, but truth is the concept of stay on the bus is actually known as an accomplishment of  positivity,something you could achieve but through lessons of getting to know yourself better and what you actually determined to do  which made you stay on the bus, which meant believing in yourself and anything and everyone else around you. Coming into terms with creativity staying on the bus is having creative, strategic and innovative ideas constantly, its about changing the mind set of how all original people think according to what's been giving to us already.

I'm going to share a link by Leif Hansen who basically speaks about being original and unoriginal. He basically states the fact that we all original because we have created something that's done by us but fact is it already exist, he states that every idea we think of probably has high chances of existence and ideas are already thought of. Leif also states the fact that by being unoriginal its all about experiencing different ways of life, going on adventures and constantly changing  up ideas by making things funky and fun, taking the freedom you have and do what inspires you by being who you are by not worrying about being original.

Conclusion about the stay on the bus theory is to mix everything you've ever thought of ,to think differently or how you could improve the idea but to remain brining out exiting new ideas and creating new things.

Inspirational Masters

In life we usually inspired by others,we might envy them or think something about them might be so orginal comapared to what we have.We start doubting ourselves but then yet again look up to others for a reason and vaild purpose.It might relate to us in different ways because we all different and get inspired  differently,but Austin Kleon states that nothing is orginal,what you create is your own maser piece where you took the time to actually sit down and think who inspired you to do this or be the kind of person that you want to be.Part of life is gaining inspiration from someone or something and through that your personality reflects out of your inspirational masters.We don't want to just  try to be like them but most importantly,we learn from them.

My mother is an excutive manager which is the top management structure in Public Works.Shes my inspiration because shes independent,confident,strong,kind hearted and a very hard worker.Shes a woman that can stand on her own not needing anybody else.Shes also a believer,she has taught me so many things and ways in life to be the person you want to become,she has been there through thick and thin,good and the bad.Even though she is a mother of 3 children he love never seems to fail.

An Austrian business man who is the co founder of the most popular energy drink which has the highest amount of sales,redbull.His my inspiration because he knows the struggles of life and knows how to manage a company as well.Dietrich Mateschitz has influenced me to work harder,build up my skills and have an understanding of what its like handling a real job,he inspired me to work harder because of the amount of money and time he has invested into his company which makes it all worth it because out of it all he has received nothing but success and that's lifes most important lesson.You work hard,something will always be rewarded back to you.

 

 

Philip Green(CEO)&Marry Homer(Managing director)

This is the managing team of Top Shop worldwide. Firstly they inspire me because they are fashion lovers which is something I have highly in common. Secondly they are inspired by surrounding objects and people which help them develop the kind of style Top Shop constantly goes for. I find it hugely inspiring that different cultures,styles,colour and textures have a story line behind why it was actually used and what made them think about using them .Top Shop is also about being different which makes it unquie,that's what makes them Top Shop.Its not for everybody to wear.

 

 

Social Media

Social Media is such an influence not only in my life but in everybody else's life. Through social media we learn,exprience,communicate,love,hate and comment on anyone about anything. Social media is one of those challenges in life where it could either make you or break you and that's why I think social media could be seen negatively and positively, its also one of those things that we think we cant live without. Everyday we are faced with the challenges of social media, we have to make decisions and take decisions of what we choose to do and I think with social media that's the hardest challenge because its something we constantly on and surround by on a daily basis

 

 

 

 

Insight Of What Creativity Is.

Insight of what creativity is?

A few years ago not only did I think you had to be talented to be creative but I thought to be creative you had to have some master plan of how you would like to incorporate your master piece,i thought creativity was for those who painted on a daily basis ,took random pictures and made something out of it,looked up and thought of ideas instantly and built different kind of crafts and got acknowledged for it.

But I was wrong until I came into contact with getting to know who Austin Kleon  the author of  the reader Steal Like An Artist is.He taught me what  creativity is in so many ways.Through him I learnt that creativity is anything you admire and make a creation out of, it could be creating a craft that doesn't look so pleasant but through creating that craft you had to think out of the box and had to think of ideas and brainstorm and that's what makes creativity,doing something in your own unique way differently from everybody else. I learnt that creativity isn't only working with your hands but creativity can literally be anything, it doesn't necessarily have to be entertaining nor be boring. Through Austin Kleon I realized that you can totally be yourself  within any kind of creation. I gained that the world is too small and you should make everything out of  it by expressing yourself in so many ways possible. Austin Kleon highlights that sometimes its not about what people think or feel but its about making everything about yourself by just doing and being you.
The advantages about having Steal Like An Artist as a reader is that we could bring out our inner creativity as well without even realizing it which got to make ourselves know  more about our capabilities. Sometimes its not always about being talented.
I would like to advice you to try and get to know more about the reader and read the storyline of "10 things nobody told you about being creative" by Austin Kleon.
